Spain: SMS Guidlines

Spanish regulations introduced to combat fraud and SMS phishing (“smishing”) require all alphanumeric Sender IDs used for messaging to Spanish mobile numbers (+34) to be registered with the CNMC Alias Registry. From 15 September 2026, Spanish mobile operators will block traffic sent using unregistered Sender IDs. To avoid any disruption, aliases intended for delivery to Spanish mobile networks must be registered and approved by the CNMC.
